 Fans of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) franchise have been waiting for years for the latest upcoming GTA instalment - GTA 6 to be released. Rockstar studio's GTA 4 and especially GTA 5 are universally considered one of the best open-world games at the time of their release. Even today, GTA 5 Online is one of the biggest games in the world with a peak online player count of around 170,000 as per Steamcharts website. However, GTA 5 came out a long time ago, on September 17, 2013. Since then, GTA fans have been waiting for news about the next GTA instalment. A new report has come out that indicates that GTA 6 is close to its release. Read on to know the GTA 6 release date update. 

GTA 6 Release Date

As per a new report by TheNational, Rockstar Games, the developers of GTA 6 are reportedly looking for game testers for their GTA 6 game. What this implies is the possibility that GTA 6 game is ready for launch and the developers are having the game tested to iron out the final few flaws and bugs that still persist. And according to a recent finding, there’s a chance we’re not too far from the moment GTA 6 would receive the go-ahead, as the company has started looking for testers, presumably as the development of the game has been completed or is already in a very advanced stage.

As per the report, Rockstar is looking for game testers in several locations including Edinburgh and India. While the company has not verified a GTA 6 release date, its highly probably fans of the GTA series are going to get a GTA 6 teaser or GTA 6 cover as promotional content. There are a lot of rumours on Reddit and gaming forums that say GTA 6 will be launched sometime in 2022, which seems accurate as the game is in the final stages of development. However, the GTA 6 game tester announcement can be misleading as Rockstar hasn't released a statement.

The Grand Theft Auto series of games take place in an open world in which the player can complete missions to advance the overall plot as well as participate in a number of side activities. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition Chinese version cannot run Google apps at all yet

 REDMI K40 GAMING EDITION CAN`T RUN GOOGLE APPS FULL DETAIL AND REASON-

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is one of the most interesting additions in the world of gaming smartphones. It is highly affordable yet feature-rich combo gains attention among mobile gaming enthusiasts. No wonder, the phone sold out in minutes at its first sale event in China. While the phone is yet to launch in other markets, those planning to import it from China should reconsider as it can’t run Google apps.

 

Android phones sold in China don’t come pre-installed with Google services, or GMS (Google Mobile Services), owing to its ban in the country. However, most users can install the Google apps suite by sideloading it via APK installs from third-party websites. With the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, that is no longer the case as Xiaomi hasn’t included the GMS Framework to allow for Google apps to function.

The lack of support for Google apps has been confirmed by a GizmoChina report, who are unable to sideload GMS. Xiaomi had earlier announced that it won’t include the GM framework for Xiaomi devices shipping with the Chinese ROM. This was done to free up storage space from the OS files, said Xiaomi at the time.

The company stopped shipping GMS Framework with the MIUI 12.5 update and the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition ships with this version of MIUI. Hence, those planning to import the phone from China won’t have any luck installing Google Mobile Services, unless Xiaomi decides to include it based on popular demand.

 

In fact, all older Xiaomi phones in China getting the MIUI 12.5 update will cease to support the GMS framework, thereby removing support for Google services.

However, if you are reading this is India, you probably won’t need to worry. Rumours suggest that the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is coming to India, albeit under a different guise – Poco F3 GT. The phone is expected to wear the Poco logo and help the company bring the logical successor to the Poco F1.

 

Some of the key highlights on the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition include a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, 120Hz AMOLED display, 5000mAh battery with 67W charging, and gaming shoulder buttons. The phone starts at approximately Rs 23,000 in the Chinese market for the base version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

PlayStation 5 pre-orders in India to begin on May 17: How and where to pre-book PS5

 PLAYSTATION 5 PRE BOOK FULL DETAIL-

PlayStation 5 restocks are set to kick off in India much as early as next week. Sony-authorised dealer Sony Center has listed PS5 consoles for pre-booking starting May 17. Since the official launch back in February 2021, the next-generation console has been in short supply.

 

To recall, soon after the official launch the first batch of consoles sold out in just a few minutes. The first pre-orders for PS5 kicked off back in January, few weeks ahead of the official release of the gaming console.

PS5 pre-booking details

 

The Sony Center website is showing an official banner that reveals pre-order details for the PS5. The banner shows that interested customers will be able to pre-book the console starting May 17 at 12 noon. All you need to do is head to the official website and add the required details and make the payment.

Globally, the PS5 comes in two models including standard edition and Digital Edition. In India, however, only the Standard edition is available with no word on the latter’s availability.

On May 17 as well, only the standard edition will be up for pre-booking at the set price of Rs 49,990. The official website doesn’t reveal any details related to the shipping, which means, even if you pre-book, there are no words on when you will receive the console delivered at home. Delay in shipping is expected especially at the time of COVID-19 crisis.

Meanwhile, it must be noted that Sony Center is a third-party retail partner of Sony. Hence, the pre-order availability of the PS5 should not be considered as an official restock update from the manufacturer. Sony hasn’t officially revealed any specific details of the PS5 restock.

 

Reportedly, earlier in May, Reliance Digital listed the PS5 to be in stock and accepted orders. However, later consumers started complaining that their orders were cancelled and full refund was issued by the retailer.

When the PS5 went up for pre-orders for the first time in India back in January, the console was sold out within minutes. Since then there has been an acute shortage of PS5 stocks in India and several other countries around the world.

 

Earlier this week, Sony warned a group of analysts that the PS5 will remain in short supply till next year. At the time of announcing the financial results, Sony said that it sold 7.8 million units of the PS5 through March 31.

Battlegrounds Mobile India release update: After PUBG Mobile game developers announced that PUBG Mobile will be launched in India with a new name – Battlegrounds Mobile India, many reports have claimed that the company will launch the game next month. Now, PUBG Mobile caster and influencer, Ocean Sharma while speaking to SportsKeeda asserted that Battlegrounds Mobile could be launched in India. He did not disclose the actual date but revealed that the trailer of the much-awaited game will be released by May 31.

 

“As I previously stated, there will be two major announcements in May, one of which has been made today. Also, if this was just a teaser, the trailer could arrive by the end of the month if everything goes according to plan. Because this was only a baby step, the game could be available by June,” Sharma was quoted as saying to SportsKeeda.

Last week, at the time of the announcement of Battlegrounds Mobile India, Krafton had confirmed that the game will be available for pre-registration soon. According to the company, the game will offer a world-class multiplayer gaming experience on mobile.

 

Battlegrounds Mobile India will release with exclusive in-game events like outfits and features and will have its own esports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues. The game will launch as a free-to-play experience on mobile devices.

The South Korean game developer had also released various details including privacy policy, limitations in terms of duration of gaming, maximum daily spending limit, parental consent, etc. Gamers under 18 years of age will need parental consent. 

 

Moreover, they can not play the game for more than 3 hours a day. Besides, the company has also restricted the maximum spending limit for underage users, according to which they cannot make in-app purchases above Rs 7,000.

Meanwhile, PUBG Mobile 1.4 update has been released on May 11th at UTC + 0, i.e., 5:30 AM IST (GMT +5:30). Like all other updates, there are several rewards in store for players if they download the latest version between a specific timeframe (May 11 and May 16), the sportskeeda reported. Similar to all the other updates, PUBG Mobile 1.4 update will be coming with loads of new content for the players to relish. Android users can download the game via the Google Play Store or use the APK file.

Google has announced changes coming as part of the Chrome 91 update, which is now available in beta across most major platforms barring iOS. While the full changelog of the Chrome 91 update is now available in a Chromium blog post, the key takeaways for everyday users include auto-loading of websites using dark mode (if specified so by the system), the ability to use the copy-paste keyboard shortcuts to attach files on email or Drive, and handwriting recognition on the browser. The stable version of the Chrome 91 update is expected to reach all users in the coming month, on May 25.

According to the lengthy post describing all the technical upgrades offered on the Chrome 91 update, one of the key features is a visual refresh of form controls, which will be limited to Android devices only for the time being. Google calls this “a new, refreshed appearance, with better accessibility and touch support.” For this, the company has partnered with Microsoft to offer more intuitively loading components of the browser that tune to system-wide application of Dark Mode in devices that use it.

It also gets read-only file support via device clipboards, which will allow users to simply use a keyboard shortcut (if on PC) to copy full files and then paste them in email browsers or Drive folders. While users had previously been required to drag and drop files for sending as an attachment, simply pressing Ctrl (or Cmd) + C or V can soon also help you attach an important document to an email more seamlessly. Unfortunately, 

Google has not detailed how its handwriting recognition feature would work, so work appears to be left on that front.

Other changes that are part of the Chrome 91 update include a bunch of new origin trials for developers to test and review new features, new CSS styles, integration of the GravitySensor API to offer g force reading by the browser, and more. The version comes after the recent Chrome 90 update that brought auto-loading of sites as https, integration of the AV1 codec for better in-browser video calls and more. Windows 10 is finally set to get its first major update of the year, but the much awaited 21H1 update appears to be one of the smallest one in terms of new features. Microsoft has finally given it a non-technical name, which is now called the Windows 10 May 2021 update – fairly unimaginatively so. Along with this, the company has confirmed the list of new features that the update will bring to the table for users, and the latter is an expected but disappointingly slim list this time. The low number of features is such that the biggest, headlining feature of the Windows 10 21H1 update is support for external cameras in unlocking PCs.

The full list of key new features that users will get to see in some way include the ability to integrate external webcams for Windows Hello, even when an internal webcam is present. This expands the scope of face unlock for Windows 10 laptop users. The second major update brings performance improvements to Windows Defender Application Guard, which optimises the amount of time that the tool takes to scan documents – hence making the native performance of the operating system more seamless. There is also a finer performance update that improves the overall stability and latency of synchronisation in cases of remote operations.

Finally, Microsoft has also introduced a ‘news and interests’ widget on the Windows 10 taskbar, for users to more intuitively access various content offerings through Microsoft’s services. The latter is likely geared to increase traffic to Microsoft Bing 

content services, which distinctly ranks behind Google’s curated content offerings. The latter, interestingly, also comes to older versions of Windows 10 operating systems, which means that users who are only eligible for service and security updates can also get the new features.

This, though, is about it, and Microsoft has clearly reserved the main features for the second feature update of the year with 21H2. The retaining of settings and options in line with what was already existent means that Windows 10 users will not face any major change of usage patterns – a small win once one counts the lack of new features making the Windows 10 May 2021 update a largely lacklustre one.
